Gloomy day and Bright Flowers

It was one of those days. Everybody has them. Mine was this past Monday. My alarm never went off. Thankfully, I have a pretty reliable internal clock. I arrived to work with mis-matched shoes. I accidentally bit my tongue...so hard that it bled. I smashed my thumb, making working on patients teeth all day a nearly impossible task. I was ready to be over with that day. I arrived home that evening to a beautiful bouquet of yellow and white flowers. In the center, are two yellow roses. A warm, heart felt card accompanied the arrangement. My boyfriend, having known what a day it had been, had flowers sent to me to cheer me up....from Malaysia. He is working there until the end of February. I sat down with my flowers, and bawled like a baby. I know, it seems silly.
Nothing seriously wrong happened to me that day. It was just the little things which add up. However, these flowers meant even more to me because of the yellow roses. My grandpa (who passed away 2 years ago) would always give my grandma yellow roses. I felt so happy and loved, like he was there with me. I woke the next morning feeling much more at peace. Cheers to that. :-)
